Typical applications: EPID™ is suitable for a wide variety of non-wearing surface applications, including indoor and outdoor use on kitchen counter tops, bathrooms, dining rooms and entertaining, walls and facades, bus shelters, public and commercial areas.

Benefits: EPID™ is a fast drying deep enrichment of natural color; hides scratches and imperfections; repels water and oil-based stains and graffiti for easier cleaning; makes scuff marks easier to remove from textured tiled floors; makes surface more resistant to acid etching; breathable i.e. does not trap moisture vapour; ultra violet stable and suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

Application rate: Supplied in a ready-to-use container the total application rate is approximately one litre per 5 to 15 sq. metres (50 to 150 sq. feet per quart) depending on surface absorption and level of enhancement or protection required.

How to use:

  1. ALWAYS TEST PRODUCT ON A SMALL AREA FIRST and allow a 24-hour cure time to ensure desired results.
  2. Make sure surfaces to be treated are dry, clean and free of residues.
  3. DO NOT thin product.
  4. Generously saturate the surface with EPID™ using a clean brush, low pressure spray pump or similar. Avoid contact with surrounding areas.
  5. Total application rate is approximately 1 litre per 5 to 15 square metres (1 quart per 50 to 150 square feet), depending on surface absorption.
  6. Allow approximately 2 minutes for product to penetrate surface, then lightly polish with a clean dry cotton cloth to remove excess product, moistening cloth with a little EPID™ to ease polishing. (For maximum protection of walls from graffiti apply the product in three light coats without polishing, waiting approximately a minute between coats).
  7. If required, apply additional coats, waiting a minimum of 24 hours between coats.
  8. Use an organic solvent (e.g. methylated spirits) to clean equipment. Once cured, this product is food contact safe.
  9. EPID™ will resist but not prevent surface acid etching and may darken and change the level of gloss and texture of some surfaces. EPID™ may be applied over a surface that has been treated with a Dry-Treat impregnating sealer 24 hours after the surface and has been cleaned with an organic solvent (e.g. methylated spirits), or similar.
  10. EPID™ will make the maintenance and cleaning of treated surfaces much easier. For general maintenance use a neutral pH detergent in warm water and a soft cloth to wash treated surfaces.

Precautions: Do not take internally. Apply when surface temperature is between 5 - 35°C (40 - 95°F). Avoid moisture and physical contact with the surface for 24 hours after application. Protect surrounding areas from over-spray. Keep away from drains, plants, water and soil. Use only in well ventilated areas. Use a positive pressure respirator if ventilation is inadequate. Wear suitable solvent resistant gloves, protective clothing, safety goggles and an organic vapour respirator during application. Avoid applying in windy conditions. Wash hands thoroughly after applying.

Active content: A 30 per cent active content in low molecule weighted solvents.

Pack size: One litre metal containers (currently only available in Australia).
